DIY: ROSE ICE CUBES

Valentine's day is just around the corner, and here's fun and easy way to add elegance and romance to your Valentine's day dinner or brunch! I love sweetheart roses but I am always disappointed in how quickly they die, so I thought this is a fun way to keep them around longer. You can really do this for any special occasion from Mother's Day to Baby showers and it is so simple and easy to do.

Material
1. Sweetheart Roses
2. Ice cube tray
3. Scissors

Cut the roses close the bud, and wash them in cold water. It is easier to clean them in a bowl full of water rather than running water directly over them. Place one rose at a time in the ice-cube tray, fill it with water and freeze over night. The roses maintain their colour and texture beautifully in the freezer. Once frozen, place them in a cute bowl or add them to your cocktails to add a little doze of pretty. That's it! This works well with most flowers, if you want you even freeze individual petals. Enjoy.
